In Kitah Hei, students will continue to deepen their knowledge of Jewish texts and to make connections to modern life. Students will finish the study of the narratives of the Book of Exodus and learn about lessons from our Prophets and Writings. Hebrew language study will include modern spoken vocabulary, as well as mastering the Amidah Tefillot (prayers). Students will develop a relationship with the land of Israel by studying its history and recognizing Israel's centrality to Jewish life. Students will also explore their Jewish Identity by exploring how we differ from other peoples.
Bible: Become familiar with the narratives of Prophets and Writings and learn to approach the text critically by asking questions and finding creative answers.
Holidays: Understanding Jewish Holidays and Customs and comparing to other cultures.
Prayers: Haleluia, Amidah: Avot ve Imahot, Gevurot, Kedushah, Osse Shalom,Sim Shalom.
Hebrew: Develop reading comprehension and develop an active oral vocabulary of 160 words
